Hello If You Are On Mezavant Medication And You Are

Hello if you are on mezavant medication and you are tested for crones and colitis in a stool test ,it comes back negative for both is that because i was already on medication. do you need to be off the medication to get a true diagnoses or dosent it matter. Thank you.
