Hello My 11 Year Old Chihuahua Has A Pinched Nerve

Hello my 11 year old chihuahua has a pinched nerve in her neck. I took her to the vet this morning and she was walking, but today when I got home, to take her out to go potty, she couldn't walk at all. her legs seemed to slip out from under her. Is she paralyzed or is this common with pinched nerves? Will rest and meds alleviate the issue?
