Hello, My Daughter Is At Uni With Just One Week

Hello, my daughter is at uni with just one week before she comes home. She has had bleeding and mucus in her stool for a week or so. Doctor has taken stool sample to be tested which came back as normal. Doctor has now referred her to a colorectal specialist for further investigation, however, specialist is booked for 2 weeks. Is it absolutely urgent that she see a specialist immediately - in which case she could present to a hospital. Or do you think waiting one more week will be okay?
