Hello, My Dog Has Nerve Pinched And Cannot Walk Dragging

Hello, my dog has nerve pinched and cannot walk dragging his back part of the body. we had similar problem 2.5 years ago and DEX (medication) helped. Now it looks like does not work (maybe dose is not big enough). He does not have pain if not touched, eats and drinks, but when we want carry him outside he's screaming and crawling away. Is there alternatives? Thanks for your advice.
