Hello, My Girlfriend Went To Donate Blood Today, But Was

Hello, my girlfriend went to donate blood today, but was unable to because of her blood pressure. The guy who took her blood pressure said that she needed to get it checked out as soon as possible, but she refuses saying she is fine. Her blood pressure was 156/102 , I'm just wondering how bad that is and what would happen if she didn't get it looked at?
