Hello, My Husband Is Suspicious That He May Be Poisoned

Hello, my husband is suspicious that he may be poisoned as he had an alcoholic drink last night that was flamed and when he drank through the straw the straw caught on fire and he inhaled the burned plastic fumes. Today he has a fever, peeing all the time, wheezy in his chest and just feels awful. Is it possible someone can get poisoning from this?
