Hello, My Mom Was Walking Around Fine Then On Christmas

Hello, my mom was walking around fine then on Christmas eve she sat down and couldn't get up. It was very challenging for her and she couldn't walk with ease. mom has no strength she slide to the floor and could not get up no arm strength whatsoever. I got her dr today 1/31/17 he said she could of had a stroke he will order some test next week. What is the recovery time frame for a slight stroke
