Hello My Name Is Chuck, My Hand Is Swelling And

Hello my name is Chuck, my hand is swelling and painful on top where the finger bones connect to the wrist, mainly the index finger bone but the other4 are swollen at wrist as well. I believe it is due to overexerting it at work. Do you think this is tendinitis if it is the first time it has happened? what is your advice on my situation? Thank You
