Hello, My Name Is Zac, And I Am 13 Days

Hello, my name is Zac, and I am 13 days away from my 21st birthday. I have had a regular cold for the past few days now, and it hasn't been anything special. However, this morning before work, I began to cough, and immediatly a sharp pain in the left side of my chest occured. Ever since, any breath deeper then usual, and anytime I cough or bend over, there is severe sharp pain on the left side of my chest. My first thought was a punctured lung, but the only other symptom I have are that nothing more then a cold. The only other symptom that appeared after the pain this morning was when I blow my nose, there is gunk like you would normally see with a cold that is almost over, but also small amounts of blood mixed into the mucus.

I just want to know if this could be more serious then an infection? I've had bronchitis and pneumonia before in the past, yet neither of which I can recall feeling like this. I've been trying to figure out different causes of these symptoms, but nothing comes up with just these symptoms. The pain hasnt stopped yet, it started at approximatly 9:30 am, and it is now 1:22 pm. It lessens for a little while then gets worse again. I just want to know if I should leave work to get medicial attention or if it's just a cold with very large kick.
