Hello, My Son Had A Ringworm In His Head.. I

Hello, my son had a ringworm in his head.. I bought some over the counter medication from Wal-Mart called Blu Star... Now after putting the cream on his ringworm, his face has completely broken out, as well as his arms and his back.. These bumps look nothing like the ringworm.. Im concerned because I don't know if the ringworm has spread or is it an allergic reaction to the Blu Star.. Its been a couple of days now and its getting worse, I've discontinued the Blu Star, but my concern is his face. Should I take him to the emergency room or wait a couple of days to see if it clears on its own??
