Hello, My Son Is Four Years Old And Recently Had

Hello, my son is four years old and recently had a rash with fever. Now that his rash is healing he has started complaining of his ear hurting (more specifically his tragus area). is this a symptom from the fever? I've given him pain reliever but it still seems to be bothering him.
