Hello, Over The Course Of Two Months, I Have Had

Hello, over the course of two months, I have had 4 dental x-rays taken at the dentist. I had a lead apron all 4 times, but never a thyroid protector. I recently heard that because I didn't have thyroid protection, I will more likely be getting thyroid cancer because of it. Ever since then I have been excessively worrying about this possibility. Is this information I heard true and likely to happen?
