Hello, thanks for your time...

I seem to be getting gout (?) flare ups in my right foot about every 3-4 months. Uric acid is normal, diet is monitored for high purines. Is there such a thing as big toe joint or foot arthritis?.....and what can I do to allieviate the pain. I take allopurinol daily. Prednisone 5 day program is a real fix, but I am afraid of the Prednisone. Help!
