Hello There, I Put Some Retinol (4%) Around And Mostly

Hello there, I put some retinol (4%) around and mostly underneath my eyes for a few nights and I think I burned the skin there as there's a huge red patch around both eyes and it stings! I also noticed that I now have wrinkles/lines there. Is there anything I can do to repair this asap? I am 51 years old and have had hardly any wrinkles before. I was advised to start using this type of cream since I am getting old to help keep my youth. Now, I wish I never did such thing. Thank you in advance for your advice. : )
