Hello There!!! I Was Wandering When I Was 13 I

Hello there!!! I was wandering when i was 13 i had a tonsillectomy and the doctor told me I would be better off getting them took out as a child rather than waiting until when I'm an adult. I just can't believe an adult can have more complications than a child would when having their tonsils removed. Why is that????
