Hello...my Name Is Celina And I Have Melasma....it's Gotten Worse

Hello...my name is Celina and I have melasma....it's gotten worse in the last 4 yrs....seeing dermatologist for the last three months and I've been trying Tri-Luma cream nightly in with his work wonders but he said it's something I cannot use continuously forever ........new Med of tretinion .05%.....has been used for over a week and just getting worse.ive been on necon 7/7/7 birth control for 26 years...... My question is stopping my birth control altogether or would a new birth control shot or birth control that or a birth-control implant stop some of this dark skin pigmentation ?
