Here is a record of my MRI for my right knee can you explain MRI RIGHT KNEE WITHOUT CONTRAST
COMPARISON:
Right knee x-ray from 7/13/2015
HISTORY: 63-year-old r/o meniscus tear.
TECHNIQUE AND FINDINGS:
1.5T multiplanar multiweighted MR imaging of the right knee was performed without contrast.
BONE AND JOINT: Grade 4 chondral loss is seen across the patellar apex, lateral patellar facet, medial femoral condyle and, to a lesser extent, the lateral femoral condyle/lateral tibial plateau. Scattered areas of subcortical cystic change and edema are seen over the medial and lateral tibial plateaus and medial femoral condyle.
A small effusion is present.
Tricompartmental joint space loss with marginal osteophytes are present.
MENISCI: Blunting of the free edge of the lateral meniscus and medial meniscus bodies is present. There is undersurface irregularity about the posterior horn medial meniscus. LIGAMENTS AND TENDONS: The MCL is intact. The ACL is attenuated. The PCL and lateral collateral ligamentous complex are intact.
The patellar and quadriceps tendons are normal. The parapatellar retinacula are preserved.
SOFT TISSUES: Minimal fluid is present between the semimembranosus and the medial head of the gastrocnemius which may represent a miniscule Baker's cyst.
