Hey I've Been Seeing A Chiropractor For A Miss Aligned

Hey I've been seeing a chiropractor for a miss aligned spine and one leg being shorter than the other? Now one hip is on a lower level in regards to the other. He has been adjusting my back ever since. First question is
Is what he saying in accordance to the textbooks of medicine
And should my back be feeling tender and bruised after every treatment
