Hey So I Started My Period The 6rh Of This

Hey so I started my period the 6rh of this month it was bright red and then got very light was like that for 2 day it was as if I was ending my period. Normally I get a period for 8 days and the first couple days it's very heavy. Ok so my period stopped the second day it's now 5 days later and I just woke up to dark red blood gushing out for like a good minute. I've never had this happen and the color just seemed weird to me. Is my period just messed up? Did I have a miscarriage and not know it?
