Hey There. I Melted Butter In A Plastic Measuring Cup

Hey there. I melted butter in a plastic measuring cup and when I took it out the butter was boiling. I didn't think much of it and poured it over the pastry I was about to bake. When I emptied it out I noticed that the bottom of the plastic cup had melted - it was a rugged texture of the inside bottom - the clear plastic had tiny air bubbles in it. I baked the pastry w the butter anyway but now I'm wondering, is it safe to eat?
