Hi - my 14 pound female miniature schnauzer mix (with Yorkie, we think) is 5 years old and has a urinary tract infection that has not made any improvement in her on urinary incontinence after 2 weeks of antibiotics - the vet did x-rays and bloodwork after 2 weeks and there is a large bladder stone that will not pass so debating a dissolution method but vet doesn't know what type of stone (2 possibilities?) so it may not work for one of the types of stones. Surgery is the other option - the vet said it is fairly straightforward and not a complicated procedure to remove the stone and then analyze it. Any estimate of the cost for surgery? Our vet doesn't do surgery. Looking for a ball park of the surgery costs and thoughts on the dissolution option.

Thanks.
