Hi - My Middle Finger On My Right Hand Hurts

Hi - my middle finger on my right hand hurts really bad, it hurt to bend it or touch it mostly at the my knuckle ( I would say an 8 on a scale of 1-10) in 2016 I hand surgery on that hand that they removed a mass that they even sent to Mayo clinic and could not determine what it was. Yesterday I was experiencing pain in but no swelling like before I had surgery. can the 2 be related?
