Hi- I Am Currently Experiencing Facial Numbness On The Left

Hi- I am currently experiencing facial numbness on the left side of my face along with pain from my temple to my jaw bone. My wisdom teeth are all impacted and occasionally become swollen and bother me. Right now my lower left wisdom tooth is swollen. Could there be an infection around the wisdom tooth and is it normal for it to cause numbness?
