A few weeks ago my 2 yr old grandson's head was split open on his crown and he needed 8 stitches to close the wound. It has now healed well, their is no weeping or infection. However there is a thick, crusty, wide scab and some of his hair is solidly caught up in the scab and it is smelly. Washing his hair has not removed the odour or the scab. What should we do?
