Hi.. Actually I Want To Ask : I Have Receding

Hi..
Actually i want to ask :
I have receding gum, as i read and heard dentists recommend using electric toothbrush, i have bought one with soft bristle, but the problem when i use it gently, sometimes gum bleeds very little, this scare me to ask, am i using the right toothbrush, or i must back to manual brush that i feel more comfort and doesn't hurt my gum, but as i heard receding patient need an electric toothbrush. so I'm confused now and lost. what i must use then.
please answer me with straight solution.
