Hi, As I Trimmed My Toenail A Couple Of Days

Hi, As I trimmed my toenail a couple of days ago, I cut to far into the toe and cut myself. Since then my toe has been extremely painful and tight, it is very red on the side i cut it. I have been putting peroxide and antibiotic ointment on it but it does not seem to be any better. I remembered that I had some left over ciprofloxacin 500 mg left over from a sinus infection. Would it be ok to take that , I am pretty sure my tow is infected.
