Hi Doc. On The First Day Of My Period I

Hi Doc. On the first day of my period I fell ill and was diagnosed with typhoid and malaria. It's my 3rd day into the drugs and my period is no longer flowing after the first day. I am also purging uncontrollably. Should I run a pregnancy test despite the fact that it started by day 1?
