Hi Doctor,
Am a 23yrs old Nigerian, Female. Today I saw pigmentations on my hard palate, 2 circumscribed, one uncircumscribed/irregular and isn't like a spot rather looks kind of like an irregular square with a singe line facing my upper teeth. I also noticed small raised nodule scantily, towards the base of my tongue and my tonsil seem to have raised nodules on both sides. I have no sore throat, neither smoke nor drink, have no difficulty swallowing and experience no pain around the scant nodules at my tongue base or the pigmentations on my hard palate. the pigmentation isn't nodular or ulcerated (it was just an accidental finding). I have no pigmentation else where in my body. I am on feroglobulin(started last week, still haven't finished my first bottle) because I look anemic and have had episodes of decreased blood supply to my hand and feet extremities. I had my tooth filled about a year and some months ago. It takes a long process to see a doctor where I stay in (St Kitts); I want to enquire is there any possibility of the pigment being an oral melanoma considering my age?, What are possible reasons that can make a 23yrs old girl look so pale suddenly and have decreased blood supply symptoms. Am really worried and wish there is a assured way ruling out with certainty Oral Carcinomas.
Thanks,
Me
