Hi Doctor,
I am a male. My age is 43. I've had periodioc sharp shooting pains that go from the bottom of my spine and shoot into the base of my scull (when my heart beats). This doesn't happen frequently (maybe 10 times in the last 9 years). I noticed it started the first time I had pneumonia back in 2009, then it went away for a while. Then i noticed it again a few years ago when I had a case of bronchitis. Both times I was prescribed a z-pack, so i requested that i not be put back on that when I go to the Dr. Do you know what this might be, or what might be causing it? It happend again last week when I was at the lake. It is starting to concern me a little.
