Hi Doctor, My Dad (Male 87) Has Been Admitted For

Hi Doctor, My dad (Male 87) has been admitted for a Diverticular bleed. This is the second time in the last 20 days. The earlier episode was probably diverticulitis. He however was diagnosed with this about 16 years back with a total of 9 episodes of bleeding till now including this one.

He had single blood stool mid-night yesterday with fresh frank blood and it is 10 hours now without a stool. I would like to know if the bleed has subsided or it could still be active? And, how long before we can say it has subsided?
