Hi Doctor, Last Nigh I Woke Up With A Sudden

Hi Doctor, last nigh I woke up with a sudden need to vomit and that happen few times during the night but the scary thing is that when lying down in between rushing to the toilet I had loud gurgling sounds, shortness of breath, wheezing and feeling heavy on the left side of my chest. After a while it subsided and I finally got a bit a of a sleep. Today I feel tired and my chest is a little heavy and I'm coughing a bit, but no phlegm. My husband was so scared he wanted to take me to ER but I said no. Should I have gone?
