Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A few years ago I noticed a change in my penis size that instead of hanging down natural it retracted up in the way it normally does when it is very cold, but it did this most of the time. Also when I urinated it often angles 30 degrees to the right. I didn't usually have pain associated with until about a year ago I started to have occasionaly slight discomfort urinating and more often would have a dull pain in the testicles or my right groin area upon ejaculation.
A few months ago I found a lump in my right testicle. The area around them is at times very sensitive to touch and painful if prodded. I have been to a urologist who examined me finding multiple hard lumps. He sent me for an ultrasound which showed three masses. Of course testicular cancer was the main thought, but the ultrasound was apparently not conclusive and combined with no tumor markers showing up in the blood test they thought it might be a bacterial infection and gave me a tentative diagnosis in the ballpark of epididymitis. I took a 3 week course of Bactrim. It seemed to improve a bit of the sensitivity initially, but then after getting another ultrasound there was minimal change in the masses. I took another 3 week course of Bactrim which by the end really didn't improve much. They seemed kind of baffled and switched me to a different antibiotic. Doxycyclin. This seemed to help the most in the first week similar to how the Bactrim worked the best initially and then increasingly the returns diminished. I am now on my second course of Doxycyclin which is a full months worth. I have also added herbal supplements for this last round like Turmeric and natural antiobiotics like Ginger and Garlic, but it seems like the sensitivity and pain is minimal some days and then comes back full force other days. The doctors said that if this doesn't work they don't know. It will probably require a biopsy which I know is pretty invasive when it comes to the testicles. Looking for other options. Thank you.
