Hi Doctors, I Recently Went In For A Follow Up

Hi Doctors, I recently went in for a follow up colonoscopy. The procedure could not be completed due to a stricture located in the lower sigmoid Colon. The Doctor thinks that it is benign, however feels that I should see a surgeon to have it corrected. Any advise on this ? Pros & Cons ?
