Hi Dr., I Am 66 Years Old And Developed Pain

Hi Dr., I am 66 years old and developed pain in my left ankle while walking with my class. I had it x- rayed which showed no broken bones. My doctor gave me advil for the pain and swelling in the ankle. I have had planter fasciates and use inserts. The ankle is feeling better but my left calf is visibly larger. I cover lots of ground teaching college pe classes. In the morning the swelling is down but increases when I am on my feet. There is no pain in my left calf, do I need to go back to my doctor regarding the general swelling in my left lower leg? Otherwise I am pretty healthy.
