Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. I do have a few ?'s in regards to my mom and was hoping that you are able to assist. She is on her last stage of COPD and on full time oxygen for about 4 years now. She is 65yrs old and really looks like she is over 75. Her hands and feet are always cold. Her legs are swollen all the time now. She has quit smoking for 3 weeks now. I have noticed a new symptom with her. She developed a purplish (looks like a blood clot) spot on her arm and one on her knuckle of her hand. She did not fall and she is not on blood thinners. It does not hurt her and does not seem to bother her, but it has become a concern if possibly her body is preparing for last days. Can you let me know what you think?
