Hi Dr., I live in Australia, am a female 63yrs, in reasonable health except for depression and anxiety, long term. I have just been reading on an American site about Buspar for anxiety, and wondering if it is available in Australia, as I haven't heard of it. Is it a safer drug than valium type drugs as people on this site seem to be implying? I am on Effexor XR 300 mg per day. Also Ritalin LA 40 mg daily the last two years to help with my "hoarding and acquiring" problems, but doesn't seem to be doing a lot. I've also been taking Epilim 200mg once a day, sometimes last few months, to help with moods. I find two Epilim, the smallest recommended dose, makes me too sleepy. I appreciate your reply. Linda.
