Hi Dr. Mintz,
Would you be able to guide me to a site that explains the difference between, prednisone, prednisolone, hydrocortisone, and deltahydrocortisone. I am under the impression that prednisone and prednisolone are quite similar and if one is taking 10 mg of prednisone than one would take 10 mg of prednisolone.
I am interested in talking to my doctor about hydrocortisone because that has less side effects than either prednisone and prednisolone. I want to get as much information as possible before going in so I can discuss it more intelligently with him.
During my search I came across deltahydrocortisone which then confused me. So, I was hoping there would be a site that might explain the differences and their effect upon the endocrine system as well as other sytstesm.
