Hi Dr.
My dad recently had alcohol poisoning, his been thru this for about 3 times in the last 2 years. In his last episode of poisoning we took him to the dr n he provided 250 cc of iv to detoxify his system, he is also on glucophage and norvasc but doesn't take his medication as directed by his dr. As a daily basis. After the md provided the iv his eyes turned yellow, I know that this is a symptom for liver failure or a liver infection. Therefore, I would like to know if the yellow of the eyes could be just a side effect of the detoxification and if not is it to late to have him treated?
