Hi Dr., My Husband And I Had Planned For This

Hi Dr.,

My husband and I had planned for this baby towards end of April 2015. I went in to see my OB in June 16th and had an ultrasound which showed not fetus based on my hormone level. I went back in for a second ultrasound on 6/22 in which case my OB determine that I have an abnormal pregnancy. She prescribed misoprostol for me to take. I was uncertain if she may have misdiagnose me so I emailed her my last menstrual cycle so she can recalculate how long I have been pregnant. She determined I was 9.5 weeks along and that if I was pregnant we should see the fetus by then. So I got the misoprostol (4 pills) and orally took it 5 days later. I experienced cramp but only light bleeding like the last two days of a regular menstrual cycle. Than I emailed her Monday as to my update...she prescribe another dose of misoprostol (4 pills) and I took it orally again. But I throw up an hour later. I experienced cramp that night and still no heavy bleeding. I went in for another ultrasound to see if I have anything discharge yet on Friday 6/26/15 and out of the blue, we saw my baby on the screen. we are baffled and the LB are baffled and couldn't explain why they didn't see the baby before. My husband and I are heartbroke over the misdiagnoses and the misoprostol taken. The baby's heartbeat was strong but what we are concern with is the affect of the meds on the baby now. The OB and other 2nd opinion OB we asked advised us to continue with the pregnancy. We are torn bc we wanted this baby so much and we don't want to abort it...but we are afraid of the affects the drug may have had on it...online research has given us mixed directions and we are just so emotionally torn for the sake of our baby and his/her health after birth. I have 3 prior C-section before.
