Hi Dr., My name is Lucy and I got started on birth control for the first time last month. I am on Ortho-Cyclen. I took active pills for 3 weeks, and wanted to skip my period so i went straight to a new pack instead of taking the inactive pills.

So I have been taking active pills for a total of 5 weeks, and I have been have brown discharge/blood spotting for 5 days now.


I have one week of pills to take before the inactive week starts

What can I do to stop the breakthrough bleeding?
