Hi Dr. Rynne, I am a 67 yr. old female, started hot flashes at age 46 in peri- menopause, and have had flashes ever since. On average I have 5-6 every day and 4-5 during the night-every night. After 16 yrs. with no health ins. I am on medicare now, and the first Dr. I went to laughed me off and dismissed me at the first mention of my situation. I am adverse to taking any meds , only minimal vitamins. Family hist. includes strokes, gr.mom & aunt br. cancer, father- colo-rectal cncr.(20 yr. survivor). My only known condition is mitral valve prolapse. Anything you can suggest or do I just keep on flashing?Thank you!!
