Hi Dr. Rynne,
I have been experiencing steady heart palpitations on minimal exertion for 2 weeks now. I was diagnosed with SVT back in 2003, however, my symptoms then are much different now. In addition to the racing, I've been getting soft palpitations as well, which is a new sensation. I saw my cardiologist last week who told me I need to consistently take my toprol 25 mg daily, and I'm fine. He saw the pvc's on the EKG and told me he would see me in a year and wasn't too concerned. I do however have to get the ECHO ultra sound done just as a precaution because I haven't had ones in years. It's making me extremely nervous that these pvc's are on very minimal exertion and will continue until I either lay down completely, or sit back with my feet up. I am 35 and relatively healthy otherwise, however, I don't get much exercise due to JRA that I've had since I was very young. I also saw my OBGYN today to seek answers and see if this is connected to early menopause or hormone imbalance and he ordered some hormone testing as well as thyroid but I had all these done years ago and they were normal. Should I be concerned that they come with minimal exertion? Please help! I need to get to the bottom of this. It is more debilitating than my RA at this point. Thank you for any advice you can give me.
