Hi Dr Siegel, I Suffered A Football Injury About 25

Hi Dr Siegel, I suffered a Football injury about 25 years ago, an subsequently had knee surgery involving the tightening of the ACL and medial ligaments as well as removing some floating cartilage. More recently I had a scan done of the knee due to increased pain in the knee joint and outer areas. I was advised that the only option was a total knee replacement as I have bone on bone issues. I was also advised to wait until I am in my 60's( I'm 54) to have it done but I am finding it extremely hard to get around with the constant pain, its effecting my work, sleep and in general. The surgeon said that my movement would be greatly effected if I have the Op. suggesting I hold off until older, but I don't want to put up with this for another 8-10 years. Any suggestions as to what I should do or consider.
Regards Dave
