Hi, I Accidentally Banged My Little Toe Into A Door

Hi, I accidentally banged my little toe into a door a bit over a week ago. There is only some discomfort when I touch it or wear closed shoes. I went to the doc two days ago and xray showed that nothing is broken. however it recently started itching like especially when I touch it. Should I be worried? Doc prescribed piroxicam but I haven't taken any because I am not in pain. But this itch has me worried,should I go back to the doc??
