Hi, I Am 13 Weeks Pregnant, I Was Carrying Twins

Hi,
I am 13 weeks pregnant, I was carrying twins but lost one at 9 weeks. At 10 weeks my doctor found a cervical polyp. Two weeks later I started bleeding and went in to get checked. During the examination the doctor saw something behind the polyp. He removed the polyp without consulting me. Later through ultrasound he confirmed he was seeing the sac of the baby that passed pushing into the cervix. He didn't prescribe antibiotics and told me to stay in bed for a week. The bleeding has almost completely stopped after removal but I have mild abdominal pain. I am scared to death of infection and loosing my surviving baby. Other than fever what would other signs of infection be? Please help.
