Hi! I Am 26 Year Old Female And Recently Met

Hi! I am 26 year old female and recently met with an accident in which I broke by humerus. I underwent a surgery to fix it and have a plate with 7 screws in place. I understand it might be a bit early to ask as I am still recovering, but I wanted to know if it is possible to get this plate removed after the bone has healed completely? How soon can I get this plate removal surgery done? Also, what are the possible risks and what would be the healing time after plate removal? I wanted to know all this at this stage because I have read that delaying the plate removal too much might not be advisable and hence I wanted to be prepared well in time to take this decision.
