I am 62 years old and I have been diagnosed with mild hypertension 140/90 for the last 3 years. I have been taking Olmizest 20 , I experience a bout of fluctuating hypertension despite taking Olmizest 20.The BP reduces to 98 /60 in the night after taking dinner. Now I am prescribed Amlodopine 1.25 and it seems to be working.
My question is does taking the above medicines for a long time result in hear block as my brother seems to have developed a heart block recently after long use of beta blockers.
