Hi, I Am 67 And Am Experiencing Sudden Hearing Loss

Hi, I am 67 and am experiencing sudden hearing loss in left ear after holding my nose and bearing down trying to clear my ears. I could not even hear my cell phone for a month. I have had partial return of hearing but now have a constant ringing. I am in good health and am on thyroid medicine only. My ears pop a lot when I swallow.
