I am 70 years old and being treated at the All India Institute Of Sciences, New Delhi, India for the TB of the guts on the basis of clinical findings although the established tests, viz, Mountex, TB Specific Antigen (TB Gold) had been negative. The X-ray had shown some obstruction followed by CT Scan of the small intestine done some 4 year back and which had shown blockage in the illium, the reason of undergoing acute abdominal every 7/8 months since past 4 year and treated with Matrogyl to settle the problem since the TB , the HIV and the like tests then had also negative. Nasal anima with barium was also done some four year back for the small and the big intestine but it had confirmed no obstruction anywhere despite a CT Scan done a week back, as mentioned earlier. This time, some 6 weeks back the doctor decided me to undergo MR Entrography which had originally missed out the obstruction but on my insisting why do I get blockage in the small intestine, the radiologist went over the portion showing blockage in the x-ray as also in the CT Scan only to confirm thickening of about 11 cm length and another 1.5 cm some 4 cm away of small intestine in the ilium. The radiologist and the gastroentrologists reviewed the entire case and decided to start with the standard treatment for TB of the guts after ruling out test blood serum test for Chrones disease.The first 10 days is the theurapatic trial and I have been asked to go back with a report of Liver Function Test to be done on 16th for follow-up visit on 17th instant. I have no adverse and visible adverse effect, such as the vomiting etc for the past one week of this trial test.Just wish to know if the diagnostics and treatment is on the right . Thanks in advance,
