Hi... I Am A 15 Year Old Girl And I

Hi... I am a 15 year old girl and I have been having my period since I was about 13 and I got sick of using pads, so I've recently been trying to use tampons but I could never seem to get the tampon in enough and I just never really knew why but last night I finally got one to go in and I was very relieved, but this morning I tried to take it out but I started to get a pain and so I searched it up and I found that it has something to do with my hymen (idk how to spell it) and I asked a close friend and she said to just take it out and that it will hurt but it's okay but I'm not exactly sure so I am asking if there is a doctor out there who can help me out a little bit
